MOAB — Searchers have yet to locate the Orem woman who was swept down the Colorado River near Moab, despite continued efforts throughout the day Monday.
Teri Elizabeth Jackson, 20, was swimming in the river at the Hal Canyon campground area about 5 p.m. Friday when she started yelling for help, according to a statement from the Grand County Sheriff's Office.
Friends were unable to rescue Jackson, and she was swept down the river, officials said.
Search and rescue crews have been using boats and jet skis in an effort to locate the woman. The campground is across the river from Arches National Park about 10 miles northeast of Moab.
