The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced today that it will move ahead with phase two of its sewing machines for rural women project.

Fifty sewing machines were donated to the Fiji Government last year, which were distributed to rural women to support self-reliance and employment opportunities.  A further 50 machines will be donated by the Church in the coming months.  Women in 25 villages will be benefited by the donation.
