Learning to honor womanhood

The best advice my father gave me came through words, though not directed to me. He always spoke kindly to my mother, and always said loving words about her when she was not in his presence. He treated her with gentleness, respect and civility, honoring both his priesthood and womanhood. Because of how my father treated my mother, he set a clear standard for how a husband should treat his wife. It’s advice he never had to give, because he lived it.
