SALT LAKE CITY — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has

announced this year’s Latino Christmas program, to be held Dec. 6–8 in the

Tabernacle on Temple Square. The program, titled “El regalo de navidad,” will be

presented entirely in Spanish, with a limited number of headsets available for

English and Portuguese interpretation.

People of all faiths are invited to attend the Christmas program.

Through narration and song, the Christmas story will unfold as a 400-voice

choir sings traditional Christmas carols from Spain, Latin America and other

parts of the world accompanied by several Latin American instrumental groups.

There will also be a children’s choir, and a Christmas message given by a

general authority of the Church.

There will be four performances of “El regalo de navidad,” each lasting about

one hour. The performances will be at 7 p.m. nightly Dec. 6-8, with a 3 p.m.

matinee on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The event is free to the public, but tickets are required. There is a limit

of six tickets per person. Tickets are now available and may be obtained online

at www.lds.org/events or by calling the Conference Center ticket office at

801-570-0080 or toll-free at 1-866-537-8457. Tickets may also be obtained in

person at the ticket office located at door 4 of the Conference Center. The

ticket office is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Those driving to the program should plan to arrive early and should park only in

designated parking areas. However, because of the popularity of Temple Square

programs during the Christmas season, use of public transportation such as TRAX

is strongly encouraged.
