PHILADELPHIA — Arnold Friberg is one of three artists who have their work on display during the 225th anniversary celebration of the Treaty of Paris, sponsored by the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts and the American Revolution Museum at Valley Forge.Friberg's "The Prayer at Valley Forge" (1976) will be on display, along with "George Washington at Prayer at Valley Forge" (Lambert Sach, 1854) and "The March to Valley Forge" (William Trego, 1777). The art exhibition opened last week and continues through Oct. 12 at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia.Friberg's painting depicts George Washington kneeling in prayer beside his horse. Tens of thousands of prints of "The Prayer at Valley Forge" have been distributed worldwide. Friberg is also well-known for his paintings of people and events from the Book of Mormon.
