To say the least, it's an interesting place to read about Utah's "Pac-12 Day" celebration on July 1. The press release appears on the Mountain West Conference's official website (www.themwc.com) and includes a Pac-12 logo. The Utes are leaving the MWC after 12 years to join Colorado of the Big 12 in the expanded conference.

— The San Francisco 49ers concluded a players-only mini-camp with former Utah quarterback Alex Smith at the helm.

C.J. Cron's father Chris, who is the manager of the Erie SeaWolves (Double-A), talks about the experience of having two sons drafted in the first three rounds this year.

— ESPN.com's Ted Miller has put together a Pac-12 football recruiting update.

— And finally, former Ute coach Rick Majerus picked up a former UNLV recruit at St. Louis

The Red Roundup is a sampling of Utah Utes news on the Web. It is complied each weekday, except holidays.
