Red roundup: Pundits weigh in on Utes' Pac-12 prospects

Published: Thursday, June 9 2011 10:00 a.m. MDT

Preseason football predictions are all over the board for the Utah Utes. The Sporting News picks them to win the Pac-12 South. Athlon Sports, however, has them ranked No. 48 in the nation.

Go figure.

— New offensive coordinator Norm Chow has settled in at his alma mater.

— The New Mexico Bowl has dumped the WAC in favor of a Pac-12 team, giving the league seven bowl tie-ins for 2011.

C.J. Cron's brother Kevin has a decision to make — sign with the Seattle Mariners or play for TCU.

— And finally, the Seattle Times has an in-depth interview with Washington athletic director Scott Woodward and his thoughts on many Pac-12 issues.

The Red Roundup is a sampling of Utah Utes news on the Web. It is compiled each weekday, except holidays.
