The Mountain West Conference has extended the contract of commissioner Craig Thompson and made it more difficult for teams to leave the league like BYU and Utah will on July 1.

— Ex-Ute Sione Pouha of the New York Jets stars in "Life of a Lockout" on YouTube.

— San Francisco 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree apparently isn't a big fan of former Utah quarterback Alex Smith.

— An NBA lockout could impact Andrew Bogut's availability for Australia's Olympic qualifying series with New Zealand in September.

— And finally, Utah pitcher Rick Anton was part of a draft drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday.
