Red roundup: Whittingham chimes in on Utes' identity, model

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham discussed the Utes' move to the Pac-12 with the "Victor and Matt" sports podcast in Tucson. In the interview, Whittingham noted: “We've got our own identity and model that we have followed and I don’t see that changing." Whittingham discussed various other topics as well, including BYU. The Utes open Pac-12 play Sept. 10 at USC.

— ESPN.com's Bill Williamson included former Ute Eric Weddle in his power rankings of NFL safeties.

— Utah's Chris Hill is one of five finalists for Sports Business Athletic Director of the Year.
