Alex Smith continues to be a hot topic with the San Francisco 49ers. New head coach Jim Harbaugh has made it clear he likes the former Utah quarterback. On Wednesday, general manager Trent Baalke said he'd like to have Smith back in the mix as well. The Sacramento Bee reports that the 49ers have a one-year contract ready for Smith once the NFL lockout ends.
