Emily W. Jensen: Today in the Bloggernacle: President Monson's 30 directives from general conference

Published: Wednesday, April 20 2011 6:30 a.m. MDT

Prophetic directives: Using the prophet’s four conference addresses, this blogger found 30 things that President Monson directly asked members to do and lists them for our convenience. Here are a few: “If you have not read the Book of Mormon, read it,” and “May I suggest that if you are able, you might consider making a contribution to the General Missionary Fund of the Church,” and “I plead with you to teach your children of the temple’s importance.” Wow. Click in for the entire list!

Conference texts: One week after the English texts of the conference talks were posted, 17 more languages were uploaded. In years past, it’s taken four weeks or more. Click in to find instructions on how to access the conference talks in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Cebuano, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Russian, Samoan, Swedish, Tagalog, Tongan and Ukrainian. And thank you to the behind-the-scenes volunteers who made it possible so quickly!

Easter recipes: Looking for some easy, fun and creative Easter recipes? Then check out Gourmet Mom on-the-go’s absolutely darling collection that includes bunny cakes, baby chick cupcakes, rabbit hole pancakes, jelly bean bracelets and even painted Easter potatoes, among many others. Delicious!

Easter lesson: Are you set to teach an “Easter Lesson” this Sunday? Then check out this blogger’s plan (with included handouts) for teaching about the last days of the Savior’s life. Nice.
