LDS members gather to fill sand bags in preparation for predicted flood's
Local members of the LDS Church in Grantsville met Tuesday night to fill sand bags in preparation for expected flooding in the next few weeks in Grantsville, as well as Tooele and Salt Lake counties.
More than 50 volunteers showed up to lend a hand to their community; they included men, women and children.
They gathered at the LDS church on Clark street in Grantsville at 7 pm and immediately went to work, scooping shovelful after shovelful, bag after bag. In just one hour, with the additional help from one volunteer's tractor, the job was done. The feeling among volunteers seemed joyful.
