Ex-Utah coach Jim Boylen, who was fired on March 12, told the Albuquerque Journal that J.J. O'Brien is considering a transfer to New Mexico. He's also reportedly looking at Baylor, St. Mary's and UNLV. The sophomore-to-be is "weighing his options" and has not ruled out a return to Utah and the Pac-12. O'Brien requested and received his scholarship release from the Utes shortly after Larry Krystkowiak was hired to replace Boylen.
