SALT LAKE CITY — The House approved a resolution Tuesday that would allow the Rio Grande Depot to be used as a farmers' market.

HJR34 would allow the historic railroad depot to be used as an extension of the popular farmers' market held at Pioneer Park. Sponsored by Rep. David Litvack, D-Salt Lake, the measure would also allow Rio Grande to be used for craft fairs and other public markets.

The bill was approved unanimously and now moves to the Senate for its consideration.
