SALT LAKE CITY — A new partnership between the FBI and local police agencies resulted in the arrests of four suspected drug dealers this week.
Four men were arrested in West Jordan and Midvale for investigation of various charges including 31 counts of drug distribution, according to jail records. Other booking charges included multiple counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon by a restricted person.
According to jail records, a search warrant was served on a home in the south end of the valley were 31 marijuana plants, drug pipes and other paraphernalia were found inside.
The arrests were made by the FBI's newly formed Valley Alliance Safe Street Task Force consisting of members of the FBI and police departments from Salt Lake, West Jordan, Midvale, Sandy, South Jordan, West Valley and the Drug Enforcement Agency.
"It's a cooperative effort," said FBI spokeswoman Debbie Dujanovic Bertram. "I think we're going to see more and more of this type of activity."
