Where's does BYU's Jimmer Fredette rank among the greatest players in Mountain West Conference history? Frank Schwab of The Gazette in Colorado Springs, Colo., has him No. 2 behind Utah's Andrew Bogut. The former Ute averaged 20.9 points and 13.5 rebounds before becoming the first overall pick in the NBA Draft after his sophomore season.

ESPN.com college football bloggers Andrea Adelson and Ted Miller debate on how Utah will fare in the Pac-12 this fall. The big unknown is whether the Utes can handle the rigors of a tough schedule in an automatic qualifying conference. Adelson is predicting a 9-3 record, while Miller is going with 6-6 and thinks "every win over .500 should feel like gravy." Utah went 10-3 last season, including a 7-1 mark in Mountain West Conference play.

The Bleacher Report explores the topic of how Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers' success may have put the NFL career of ex-Ute quarterback Alex Smith into perspective.
