WEST VALLEY CITY — Two men were taken to an area hospital Saturday following an altercation in which one man was shot and the other was stabbed.
West Valley Police Sgt. Mike Powell said the altercation began about 3 a.m., shortly after a man, approximately 30 years old, arrived at a gathering at 3846 W. Eagle Heights Drive.
The man got into a fight with a group of people at the gathering and was stabbed multiple times, Powell said.
At some point during the altercation, the man pulled out a gun and shot one of his alleged attackers in the head.
The stabbing victim is in serious condition. The man who was shot is in critical condition, Powell said.
