WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Weber State women's basketball team (7-13 overall, 1-6 Big Sky) will travel to Sacramento, Calif., for its lone game of the week. The Wildcats will face Sacramento State on Thursday at 8 p.m. MDT in a crucial Big Sky road game that will wrap up the first half of the conference season.

Sacramento State enters this week's game with a 6-12 overall record. The Hornets are just 2-4 in league play, but have some momentum, having swept Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona last week. The Hornets defeated the Bears 72-60 on Jan. 21 and then turned around to beat the Lumberjacks 77-66 on Jan. 24.

Weber State holds a commanding 23-3 record in the all-time series, but the Hornets have won the last two outings. Last season, Sac State came to Ogden on Jan. 22 and defeated the Wildcats 68-57 to end a 17-game losing streak to Weber State. The Hornets then completed the season sweep on Feb. 28 with a 59-53 win in Sacramento.

Weber State is currently 7-13 on the season and 1-6 in the Big Sky Conference. The Wildcats dropped two games last week, falling to Portland State and Eastern Washington on the road. WSU has struggled of late, winning just once in its last nine outings.
