SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau has booked a 2014 meeting expected to attract about 3,200 attendees and generate more than $2.8 million in direct attendee spending.
The Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, or SAGES, will meet in the spring of 2014 at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
The typically competitive convention and visitors bureaus of Salt Lake and Baltimore worked together in bidding for two annual meetings, with Baltimore being selected to host the 2013 meeting and Salt Lake winning the 2014 bid.
