SALT LAKE CITY — Starting point guard Deron Williams and small forward Andrei Kirilenko both took part in the Jazz's shootaround this morning, and both said afterward that they plan to play tonight when the Milwaukee Bucks visit EnergySolutions Arena.
But the Jazz are expected be without backup center Kyrylo Fesenko, who sprained his left ankle during the shootaround.
Williams re-sprained his right wrist in the fourth quarter of Thursday's TNT-televised win over Cleveland, and did not practice Friday.
"It still hurts," he said today.
But Williams, who was in the locker room getting treatment on his wrist when rookie Sundiata Gaines hit a game-winning 3-pointer to beat the Cavaliers, plans to play tonight nonetheless.
Kirilenko hyperextended his right knee in the first half of the same game, when, he said, he bumped knees with Jawad Williams of the Cavs.
"I'm feeling pretty good," Kirilenko, who also missed practice Friday, said after the shootaround. "Ready to go."
The sporadically used Fesenko might have been called on tonight, against a Bucks lineup that has former University of Utah big man Andrew Bogut starting at center.
But the Jazz are calling Fesenko "doubtful" for tonight, and the big Ukrainian left the shootaround wearing a walking boot.
If Fesenko indeed does not play tonight, reserve big man Kosta Koufos — who has been inactive for two of the past three games, and didn't play (coach's decision) in five of the prior six — would be added to the Jazz's 12-man active roster.
Tonight closes a three-game homestand for the 22-17 Jazz, who have won three straight and four of their last five. It also opens a back-to-back set for the Jazz, who visit Denver on Sunday night.
