WRESTLING: Utah Valley University's wrestling squad will take part in the Lone Star Duals today in Arlington, Texas, where the Wolverines will dual against No. 22 Arizona State, Brown, and Harvard.

UVU is 3-0 in dual action on the year and will look to build on its early season success on Saturday. The Lone Star Duals will be UVU's final non-conference tune-up, as the Wolverines will begin their Western Wrestling Conference slate on Jan. 28 at Air Force.

Today, Utah Valley will first go up against the Brown Bears (2-1) of the Ivy League at 9 a.m. MT. The Bears, who have won their last two duals, defeated Hofstra (18-17) in their most recent matchup on Jan. 9. UVU is 0-1 all-time against Brown.

The Wolverines will then take-on the Harvard Crimson (2-3-1, 0-0 Ivy League) at 5 p.m. The Crimson are coming off a 20-20 tie at Hofstra (Jan. 9). Harvard has a pair of wrestlers ranked in the national Top 20, including No. 1 J.P. O'Connor (17-0) at 157 pounds and No. 7 Louis Caputo (8-2) at 184. The Wolverines are 1-1 all-time against the Crimson.

In the nightcap at 7 p.m., UVU will conclude its Lone Star Duals by going one-on-one with the nationally ranked Arizona State Sun Devils (4-4, 3-0 Pac-10). The Sun Devils are led by junior Anthony Robles at 125 pounds, who is ranked No. 3 in the country. Also ranked for ASU is heavyweight Erik Nye (No. 16) and Chris Drouin is also No. 16 at 141 pounds. UVU is 0-1 all-time against ASU.

The Wolverines are led by junior Benjamin Kjar, who is ranked No. 15 at 125 pounds. Kjar is 19-5 on the year and 3-0 in duals.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: Utah Valley University will take a break from Great West Conference action tonight when the Wolverines visit Seattle University, the top Division I Independent team in the nation, for the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

The game tips off at 8 p.m. (MT).

The Redhawks, who are coached by former UCLA standout Cameron Dollar, enter the game having lost two of their last three, but that win was a 99-48 road thrashing over Oregon State University of the Pacific-10 Conference.

"Seattle has played an extremely demanding schedule this season and they have some terrific wins. They have responded very well to their new coach Cameron Dollar," UVU head coach Dick Hunsaker said. "They play an up-tempo offense and try to extend the court defensively with pressure and traps."

Seattle University also has notable victories over Fresno State (WAC), Weber State (Big Sky), UC Davis (Big West), UC Irvine (Big West) and Utah (Mountain West).
