SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Winter Cross will hold a pre-race party and fundraiser Tuesday for slain Utah officer Josie Greathouse Fox.
Fox, a 37-year-old Millard County sheriff's deputy, was killed Jan. 5 when a motorist allegedly shot her during a traffic stop on U.S. 50.
The Winter Cross events will take place at Legends Pub and Grill, 677 S. 200 West, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Fire trucks, police squad cars and motocross bikes will be on display. Fox's bike will also be there, according to a news release from the motocross organization.
A buffet will be available for a fee.
The main Winter Cross event will take place Saturday at the Wasatch County Events Center in Heber City.
Funds raised at the event were originally to be donated to the Children's Justice Center but will instead go to Fox's immediate family. For information, visit utahwintercross.com
