Unitarian service on 'Human Dignity'

SALT LAKE CITY — The First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake, 569 S. 1300 East, will feature "Human Dignity" in its Sunday, Jan. 17 services, at both 9 and 11 a.m.

Rabbi Cohen-Kiener to talk about book

SALT LAKE CITY — Author, spiritual leader and environmentalist Rabbi Andrea Cohen-Kiener will talk about her book, "Claiming Earth as Common Ground," in a special event on Thursday, Jan. 21, 6:30 p.m. at the Wagner Jewish Community Center, 2 North Medical Drive.

The event is free, open to the public and co-sponsored by Utah Interfaith Power and Light.

Scouts to receive religious emblems

SALT LAKE CITY — The Most Rev. John C. Wester, bishop of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, will bless and award all Catholic Scouts with their religious emblems on Saturday, March 6. Scouts must complete the necessary requirements and application process by Feb. 28. Diocese to sponsor pro-life service

SALT LAKE CITY — The Diocesan Family Life Office will sponsor the annual bilingual English and Spanish pro-life service to pray for unborn children and their parents Sunday, Jan. 24, 2 p.m. at the Monument for the Unborn at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U St.
