Park City star fullback Dylan Chynoweth has committed to play football next year for the Naval Academy.
Chynoweth, this year's Deseret News 3A MVP, also had offers from the Air Force Academy and Army.
In the end, Chynoweth said Navy's coaching staff showed the most interest in him from start to finish.
"Navy has a really good coaching staff, and they put more effort into recruiting me than anybody else," said Chynoweth. "It's the right place for me."
A number of Park City players, including Chynoweth, attended a football camp at Navy last summer when Matt Christensen, Chynoweth's teammate, ruptured his spleen. Throughout that ordeal, Chynoweth was struck by how much Navy's coaching staff took care of his teammate.
"With them, it's not all about football and winning, which they do a lot anyway," said Chynoweth. "They really care about their players.
