Theater auditions in Utah

"See How They Run," Jan. 13 and 14, 6:30-9 p.m., Sugar Factory Playhouse, 8201 S. 2200 West, West Jordan.

Looking for six men and three women of varying ages and accents. All roles are open. Come prepared to read cold from the script. Headshots and resumes are appreciated but not required.

"42nd Street," Pioneer Theatre Company, Jan. 14 and 15, noon-5 p.m., Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, 300 S. 1400 East.

Auditions slots from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday and from 4-5 p.m. on Friday are for Actors' Equity members only. Audition slots from 1-5 p.m. Thursday and from noon-4 p.m. Friday are open to all auditioners.

Non-AEA actors must sign up in person on the callboard in Room 325. AEA members may contact Elizabeth Williamson at elizabeth .williamson@ptc.utah.edu to sign up. Auditions will be held in Room 245; scripts and/or scores will NOT be available for checkout.

The first audition will be singing only. Actors should prepare a song from the show or in a similar Broadway style. An accompanist will be provided; please bring your own sheet music. A headshot and resume are recommended. Dancing will be handled at callbacks.

Show dates are April 23-May 8, directed by Charles Morey.

"Tuacahn Amphitheatre," Jan. 14, 4-8 p.m., Rose Wagner, 138 W. 300 South; also Jan. 15, 6-9 p.m., and Jan. 16, 1-4:30 p.m., Richards Building, BYU, Provo.

Casting for three upcoming productions: "Tarzan," "CATS" and "Crazy For You." Prepare 16 bars of one song and have a second song prepared if needed. Bring character and jazz shoes, if you're invited to stay.
