Atlas Van Lines moved nearly as many people into Utah as out of the state in 2009, according to statistics in the 2009 Atlas Van Lines Migration Patterns study, announced this week.

Atlas had 478 moves into Utah last year and 503 outbound. A year earlier, 512 moves were inbound and 552 outbound.

Total cross-border and interstate Atlas moves were down nearly 16 percent in the U.S. last year.

Washington, D.C., had the highest percentage of inbound traffic for the fourth year in a row. Connecticut had the highest percentage of outbound traffic.

Details are at www.atlasworldgroup.com/migration.
