Cafe Lima has opened at 973 W. 1700 South, Syracuse. Owner is Amparo Alam of Syracuse, who in 2008 won the Food Network's "Ultimate Recipe Showdown." Her restaurant serves Peruvian cuisine, including her winning Roasted Chicken with Fried Yucca Root. A version of her dish, Peruvian Herb-Roasted Chicken, was featured on the menu of T.G.I. Friday's restaurants in 2008 (801-825-0219).

Buca di Beppo restaurants are offering a Meatball Pizza for January in a partnership with the DVD launch of Sony Pictures' "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" (www.bucadibeppo.com).

The Old Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square is rolling back prices by 41 percent on its 41st anniversary, Jan. 12-13. A complete pasta meal of salad, bread, entree, beverage and dessert will be $4.71 to $6.48 per person, depending on the entree. A children's meal is about $3. Prices are good during lunch and dinner on these two days for dine-in customers only. The company, based in Portland, Ore., has 40 locations throughout the country (www.osf.com).

Acme Burger Company has launched a meat-free Mondays menu beginning Jan. 4. Every Monday, meatless options are offered along with the regular menu. The restaurant had also added a "Game On" Mini-Platter, which has mini-versions of the restaurant's duck, bison and elk burgers.
