LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Wranglers scored three goals in the third period to defeat the Utah Grizzlies 5-3 Sunday afternoon at the Orleans Arena.
After falling behind 1-0 just 1:36 into the first period, Tom May tied things up just 20 seconds later to make it 1-1 at 1:56. From that point on, Utah would either lead or be tied until 3:36 into the third period.
Utah made it 2-1 1:30 into the second period as Tony Romano knocked home his third of the year. After Las Vegas tied it up at two on the power-play 14 minutes into the frame, Utah responded 1:49 later to make it 3-2 and reclaim their lead as Jadran Beljo spun towards the net and was assisted by Brett Parnham.
Things in the third period fell apart in a hurry as Las Vegas tied the game and took the lead in the first 3:36 of the period before adding an insurance goal on the power-play to make it 5-3.
