SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Jazz shooting guard Kyle Korver will ring out the old year and bring in the new year in Utah.
Korver's surgically repaired left knee continues to bother him, so he will not travel with the Jazz for their upcoming back-to-back road trip that has the team playing in Minnesota on Wednesday and Oklahoma City on Thursday.
The Jazz decided it was better for Korver to remain in Salt Lake City to rehab his knee for the next few days, according to a team spokesman.
The decision was made after Korver participated in a short practice this morning before the team boarded a plane for an afternoon flight to the Twin Cities.
Korver will be a game-time decision for Saturday night's big Northwest Division rivalry game against Denver at EnergySolutions Arena.
Korver played three minutes against Philadelphia on Saturday but missed the previous two games because of his ailing knee.
The sharpshooter has only played in five games and 44 minutes overall this season while dealing with his knee issues that have plagued him since the preseason.
