SALT LAKE CITY — A semitrailer overturned Monday on an on-ramp to I-215 West, spilling its load and blocking at least three lanes.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers and Utah Department of Transportation crews responded to the crash near 2100 South, said trooper Cameron Roden.
Roden said the truck driver was traveling too fast as he took the ramp from eastbound state Road 201 to northbound I-215 West, causing the truck and its side-dump trailer to overturn.
The crash spilled dirt and gravel across several lanes of traffic, Roden said.
The truck driver is expected to receive a citation, Roden said.
