Salt Lake City is ranked sixth in an index calculating the ease of finding a job through online advertising.
According to information released this week by job search engine Juju.com, Salt Lake had 3.35 unemployed people per advertised job.
The index calculates difficulty by dividing the number of unemployed people by the number of jobs in the Juju index of online jobs in the U.S., which is compiled from thousands of employer career portals, recruiter Web sites and job boards across the Internet.
At one extreme in the 50-city list was Washington, D.C., with 1.87 unemployed people per advertised job. Detroit was at the other end, with 20.76.
