'Triumphs' to cost billions

President Barack Obama has enjoyed two triumphs politically these past two weeks — the Copenhagen climate change conference and the health care bill in the Senate. But at what price? From all appearances, nothing is binding as an outcome from the Copenhagen summit except that Obama is throwing money around to Third World countries. The health care bill from the Senate was reached by compromise (Chicago-style payola) of certain senators for their support votes of a watered down bill.

These two so-called triumphs will cost taxpayers billions of dollars.
