PLAY OF THE GAME
Late in the first quarter, Oregon State running back Jacquizz Rodgers fumbled a lateral from quarterback Sean Canfield. The loose ball was picked up by BYU linebacker Matt Bauman, who rumbled 34 yards for a touchdown to break a 7-7 tie and swing the momentum the Cougars' way. It was Rodgers' first career fumble on 621 touches.
PLAYER OF THE GAME
In his final game in a BYU uniform, quarterback Max Hall completed 19 of 30 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns, in windy conditions, en route to earning Las Vegas Bowl MVP honors.
CALL OF THE GAME
In the waning moments of the first half, BYU's O'Neill Chambers fumbled a punt that was scooped up by an OSU player and returned for a touchdown, apparently tying the game at 14. But a holding call on the Beavers nullified that score. Given a second chance, the Cougars ended up scoring a field goal on their ensuing drive to go up 17-7.
