Until the Deseret News and those who promote "illegal" immigration state the truth, there will always be opposition to "illegal" immigration. Stating that "illegal" immigrants have no legal status is incorrect. All government agencies have no right to ask regarding someone's immigration status. "Illegal" immigrants sue their employers, obtain Medicaid, food stamps, WIC and Section 8 housing. They do not fear deportation, and most crimes commited against Latinos are committed by other Latinos.
I do, however, agree that these conditions cannot persist. Deportation orders are nothing to be feared. Securing the border is the only thing that should be considered at this time.
