NFL RANKINGS

1. Colts: Trailed vs. the Jaguars, but never seemed to be in danger of losing the game

2. Saints: Pursuit of perfection is over, but they're still on top of the NFC

3. Chargers: They don't lose in December, and especially to teams like the Cowboys

4. Vikings: Got back on track with impressive win over the Bengals last week

5. Eagles: Won perhaps the most exciting game of the season against the Giants

6. Packers: One of the hottest teams in the NFC, playing one of the coldest in AFC

7. Bengals: Having a great season, but how will they respond to death of Henry?

8. Cardinals: Looked absolutely pathetic on offense against the 49ers on Monday

9. Broncos: Put up a great fight in loss to the Colts, still in playoff contention

10. Patriots: Beat the Panthers, but looked flat, sloppy and disinterested

GAME OF THE WEEK

Cincinnati has little time to regroup following Chris Henry's death, and it's facing one of the hottest teams in the NFL. The Chargers can basically lock up the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs with a win.

TEAM ON THE RISE

They're now on top of the NFC East, thanks to a four-game winning streak, a win over the rival Giants and a predictable Dallas collapse in December.

TEAM ON THE DECLINE

They're so bad we won't even bother spelling out their entire nickname. The 1-12 Bucs have scored a total of nine points the last two weeks. Pathetic.
