ALTA — A 4-year-old girl is in serious condition after falling from the Sunnyside ski lift at Alta Ski Area about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The girl fell 30 to 40 feet and was unconscious for several minutes, said Unified Fire Authority Capt. Clint Smith.
When ski patrol arrived, crew members revived her using rescue breathing.
The girl was then taken to Primary Children's Medical Center, said Smith. The child had been with an adult female when she fell, but as of late Friday authorities didn't know whether they were related. Neither person's name has been made public.
