WOODS CROSS — A Woods Cross man kept police busy through the night Thursday after officers say he stabbed an acquaintance and then barricaded himself in his girlfriend's home.

The call came to police from a trailer park located on 500 South and 1200 West around 9 p.m. Christopher Bloore, 33, "got into an altercation" with an acquaintance and stabbed the victim multiple times, said Woods Cross Police Sgt. Ekolu Delos Santos.

What prompted the violent attack is unknown, but Delos Santos noted that Bloore was very intoxicated.

Bloore then crossed the street into a trailer owned by his girlfriend and where he sometimes resides, and he told police that he wasn't going to come out, Delos Santos said. SWAT teams from Bountiful and Davis County were called out about 10 p.m., and officers tried to negotiate with him.

"Until about 2 a.m., the negotiations were going," the sergeant said. "He was not coming out, and negotiations were not going well because of his intoxicated state. … We then launched gas into the trailer, and he came out peacefully."

Delos Santos said no one was in the trailer with Bloore at the time, and the stabbing victim was treated at the scene. He was transported by medical helicopter to a Salt Lake hospital, where he remained in "serious but stable condition" Friday.

Police are waiting to discuss potential charges with prosecutors until they can determine the ultimate impact of the attack on the victim, Delos Santos said. Bloore has a felony warrant in Salt Lake City for allegedly failing to pay child support, as well as a few minor traffic incidents. He is currently being held in Davis County Jail.
