MEN'S BASKETBALL: At Salt Lake City, the SLCC men's basketball (12-3, 4-2 SWAC) team got off to a slow start trailing by as many as 10 points in the first half however the team rallied to defeat Salish Kootenai College 102-77.
Kootenai attempted 32 three point shots in the game hitting on 53% but Salt Lake's inside presence controlled the game out-rebounding Kootenai 45-26.
Forward Wil Carter powered his way to 20 points on 9-15 shooting. Sharp shooter Jake Dastrup scored 14 points in the game and Darian Norris finished with 12 points and four steals.
Salt Lake forced 25 Kootenai turnovers while only committing 12 in the game.
Salt Lake is currently on a five game winning streak and are tied for second place atop the SWAC. The team will return after the New Year to face Pro Look on January 2nd at 3 p.m. in Bruin Arena.
