CEDAR CITY — Cassie Burgess' jumper with half a second to play in triple overtime lifted Southern Utah to a thrilling 94-92 victory over instate rival Utah Valley on Saturday night.

It was the first three-overtime game for either team.

With Utah Valley up four in the third overtime, Burgess scored five straight points to put Southern Utah up 89-88. Jenna Johnson scored her sixth point of the overtime, on an assist from Kyra Prause, to put the Wolverines back up 90-89.

Burgess then found Jadie Parsons open for three from the right side to give the T-Birds a two-point edge. Smith knotted the game at 92 on a layup before Burgess missed her initial attempt, got her own rebound and hit the baseline jumper from about 10 feet away.

In regulation, Jadie Parsons scored on a baseline jumper with half a second to play, seemingly giving the home team the win. But the T-Birds charged the court with time remaining on the clock and were assessed a technical foul.

Johnson hit both free throws to send the game into the first OT.

In the first OT, Asumi Nakayama banked in a runner with 13 seconds left to tie it at 78 before Parsons missed a potential game-winning three, sending to the second extra frame.

The game was tied again at 88 when Johnson scored to put UVU up two with 36 seconds left. Parsons then knocked down two free throws to tie before Nakayama's game-winning attempt didn't fall and OT No. 2 ended tied at 84.

BYU 75, CS FULLERTON 72: At Fullerton, Calif., up by two points with less than a minute remaining in the game, the Cougars used a crucial block by junior Coriann Wood and a Kristen Riley offensive rebound to seal the victory.

Junior guard Mindy Nielson led BYU with 24 points in the game — her season high — including a crucial basket and two free throws in the final minute. She also had four assists.

IDAHO STATE 63, UTAH STATE 58: At Pocatello, for the second-straight game, the Aggies dropped a hard-fought contest with Idaho State. LaCale Pringle-Buchanan and Amber White each scored 14 points for USU (3-4), while freshman guard TJ Goddard added nine points in the loss. White has scored in double figures in five of USU's seven games this season.

SLCC 66, SOUTHERN IDAHO 62: At Salt Lake City, the second-ranked Bruins (13-1) erased a 17-point halftime deficit. Allie Blake led the charge finishing with 13 point and eight rebounds. No. 2 Salt Lake (13-1, 6-0 SWAC) will now face Lethbridge, Canada, on Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m. in Bruin Arena.
