Children to stage Christmas program

The annual "Children's Christmas Program" at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 E. 3300 South, will be Sunday, Dec. 13, in both the 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.

A potluck dinner will follow at 11:45 a.m.

Church choir to sing 'Christmas Promise'

The choir of First Christian Reformed Church, 803 E. 900 South, will present the cantata "The Christmas Promise" by Lloyd Larson as part of the morning worship service on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. The service will be accompanied by woodwinds and horn. Refreshments will be served after the service, and a nursery will be provided.

Orem church to hear call to repentance

"John's Call to Repentance" will be the Dec. 13 sermon at Orem Community Church, 130 N. 400 East, Orem.

The church's annual Live Nativity Scene will be Dec. 22-23, from 7-9 p.m. Special holiday music will be on-going inside the sanctuary both evenings during the live nativity scene.

Visiting bishop to address Ukrainians

The bishop of St. Nicholas Eparchy, His Grace, Most Rev. Richard Seminack, will visit the Ukrainian community of Utah on Dec. 13. Mass will be held at St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church, 4900 Wasatch St. in Murray at 1 p.m. Confession will begin at noon.

Menorah to glow at Gallivan Plaza

Chabad Lubavitch of Utah will light Utah's largest Menorah indoors on Sunday, Dec. 13, 5:15 p.m. at Gallivan Plaza.

There will be free skates, ice skating and food from 3-6 p.m. at the Gallivan Ice Rink to Utah's Jewish community. Israeli music will air during the skating. The Chanukah holiday begins this year at sundown on Dec. 11 and culminates on Dec. 19.

Judge Memorial to hold holiday concert

Judge Memorial Catholic High School students will present their annual holiday concert on Monday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. in the school's auditorium, 650 S. 1100 East.
