A convicted felon is facing charges in the sexual abuse of a woman who was trying to catch a bus last August.
The woman, 27, said she was riding her bicycle to a bus stop near 1700 South and Redwood Road when a man rode up on his bike and offered to buy her coffee on Aug. 20. When she refused and tried to leave, he grabbed her arm and demanded that she come with him, according to charges filed in the 3rd District Court Wednesday.
A witness who was at a nearby store said she saw a man grab the woman's breasts and rear end, the charges state.
Prosecutors say the man then unbuttoned the woman's pants and groped her. The woman, who said she had never met the man before, managed to push him away and ride off on her bike.
William Dax Addams, 30, is charged with forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony. He is being held in the Utah State Prison.
Addams was previously convicted of attempted aggravated robbery.
