WEST VALLEY CITY — Utah Grizzlies head coach and director of hockey operations Kevin Colley announced Tuesday that rookie forward Vic Bartley has been recalled by the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
In addition, the New York Islanders have reassigned rookie forward Tony Romano from Bridgeport to Utah. Finally, defenseman Evan Stoflet has been traded to Bakersfield in exchange for future considerations, and forward Jason Dale has been recalled by Bridgeport and reassigned to Bakersfield.
The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport.
"It's a difficult day losing two people like Evan and Jason," said Colley. "However, with both our Islanders and Calgary affiliations, we have had a lot of movement, which has added to the depth of our hockey club and moving them will give them the best opportunities to advance in their careers."
The Grizzlies are back at the E Center Dec. 18 and 19 when they welcome Bakersfield. Face-offs both evenings is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
