College basketball: Sloan scores 21 as Aggies beat North Texas 75-65

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Donald Sloan scored 21 points to lead four players in double figures and No. 16 Texas A&M beat North Texas 75-65 on Monday night.

Bryan Davis added 15 points, David Loubeau scored 12 and Derrick Roland had 10 for the Aggies (8-1), who have won four straight.

Texas A&M trailed 17-14 with 11:43 remaining in the first half before outscoring North Texas 26-4 over the next 10 minutes. In that span, the Aggies forced 7 of North Texas' 14 turnovers in the game.

Eric Tramiel led the Mean Green (5-3) with 17 points.

North Texas was 4 of 16 from 3-point range, but the Aggies weren't much better with 5 3-pointers in 14 attempts.

A&M has won 48 consecutive nonconference home games. The Aggies next play New Mexico in the Toyota Center, home of the NBA's Houston Rockets, on Saturday.
