Provo pastor to preach on promises

The Rev. Daniel Haas will preach on "Promise kept" at Provo Community United Church of Christ, 175 N. University Ave., on Sunday, Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m.

The Mapleton Chorale is also performing. Coffee hour follows the service. Bible study is Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Choir practice is Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

First Unitarian's choir to perform

The First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake, 569 S. 1300 East, will feature "Memorial Sunday" Sunday at the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services.

The First Unitarian Church's Chancel Choir will perform. At 7:30 p.m., there will be jazz vespers featuring Davis Chisholm.

Workshop today for widows, widowers

A workshop for widows and widowers will be held today at the Pastoral Center, 27 C St., Salt Lake City. The seminar will offer participants the opportunity to explore how to start to rebuild a life without their spouse. For more information, call Veola Burchett at 801-328-8641, ext. 324. Goshen Stake will host crèche exhibit

The Goshen LDS Stake will stage a "Community Interfaith Crèche Exhibit" this weekend at 70 S. Center St.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6.

Midway has state's largest croche show

MIDWAY — The largest interfaith crèche exhibit in the state will be held through this weekend at Midway Town Square, 165 N. Center St.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6. This is part of the 10th annual Christmas of Crafts. All events are free and open to the public.

Boutique to feature Carmelite Sisters

Saint Ambrose Catholic Parish, 1995 S. 2300 East, will host its annual boutique Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 6, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with more than 40 vendors and hot food all day today. The Carmelite Sisters will have a booth featuring their handmade rosaries and other items. The public is welcome.
