I am disappointed, even angry, at the decision to close a premier recreational destination like Nutty Putty Cave because of a single unfortunate mishap. It is far more dangerous to drive a car than it is to explore Nutty Putty Cave. I didn't know John Jones personally, but I know his type. My presumption is he would not want to be the person responsible for the cave's permanent closure.
Life doesn't come with seat belts, air bags or guarantees. That's what makes it worth living.
