Bountiful art center seeks illustrations
BOUNTIFUL — The Bountiful/Davis Art Center is looking for professional illustrators to participate in the Illustrators Utah Exhibit in January.
This is the only exhibit of its kind in the state and has become a tradition during the past 12 years, according to a news release from the art center.
The exhibit provides a way to see the cutting edge of contemporary illustration.
This year's exhibit will be a judged competition with entry fees and cash awards. All Utah illustrators can submit work that was created or published in 2008-2009 and not previously displayed at the Bountiful/Davis Art Center.
All work should be put in one of the following categories: editorial, book, advertising, institutional, comic/sequential or uncommissioned.
Artwork will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 4-8 at the art center, 745 S. Main. The cost is $10 per entry with up to three entries allowed per artist.
The dates of the exhibit are Jan. 15 to Feb. 16, with an opening reception and awards ceremony from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 15 at the center.
