SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man has died from injuries suffered Monday when he was hit by a car near the TRAX stop at 3300 South.
The 48-year-old Salt Lake resident was jaywalking across 3300 South and was knocked down by a vehicle heading east about 5:45 p.m., said South Salt Lake police officer Gary Keller.
The man was taken to an area hospital with head and leg injuries and died early Tuesday. His name is not being released pending notification of his extended family, Keller said.
A major-accident team is investigating the crash. No charges have been filed.
