A daughter of accused Elizabeth Smart kidnapper Wanda Barzee testified about punishments she suffered at the hands of her mother and a "creepy" and controlling Brian David Mitchell.
Louree Gayler, Barzee's youngest daughter, said she was punished often during the years she lived with them, when she was between 12 and 14 years old.
One time as a punishment, Gayler said Mitchell and Barzee killed and cooked her pet rabbit Peaches, then served it to her.
I asked them, 'What are we having for dinner?' and my mother started laughing," Gayler testified. "They fed her to me for dinner. They told me I was eating chicken."
She said she didn't learn until the next day what had really happened.
The testimony came during a hearing to determine whether Mitchell is competent to stand trial for Smart's kidnapping.
