WEST VALLEY CITY — A road rage incident escalated into a robbery and assault in a residential neighborhood Sunday morning.
Police said two vehicles came to a stop at Honda Avenue (2610 South) and 3500 West about 9:45 a.m. after an 18-year-old male in a truck cut off the other vehicle.
Four men got out of the car to confront the man driving the truck, and one of them reached into his truck and took an iPod, according to West Valley Police Sgt. Steve Burke.
As they walked back to their car, the victim got out of his truck and a fight ensued, leaving him with "bumps on his head but nothing too serious," Burke said.
Police have two men, ages 17 and 18, in custody in connection with the incident, but they are refusing to be interviewed and the other two men have not been identified.
