BYU Cougars, Utah Utes game highlights
Player of the game
BYU defense
Too many Cougars, who held Utah to five field goals and one TD on six red-zone possessions, came up big on "D" to single out just one of them.
Play of the game
On BYU's second play of overtime from the 25, quarterback Max Hall found tight end Andrew George on a quick hit over the middle. George caught the pass at the 15, slipped a tackle and trotted in for the game-winner.
Key call
On BYU's first drive of the third quarter, the officials on the field ruled running back Harvey Unga fumbled on Utah's 19, with the Utes recovering the ball. But the call was reversed after a review, and BYU scored three plays later to take a 20-6 lead.
Quotable
"I don't like Utah. In fact, I hate them — I hate everything about them. I hate their program. I hate their fans. I hate everything." — Max Hall, BYU quarterback
